No Wolves Allowed Finals
If you attended any of the No Wolves Allowed ropings this season, you might be qualified to enter a free roping this weekend with $8,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs! And even if you’ve never been to one, you can still come enter the #6 and the #8 Roping, which is open to the world and is awarding (count ’em) 20 saddles!
That’s right, the 2nd Annual No Wolves Allowed Tour Finals welcomes you to Dunn’s Arena this weekend – March 13-14 – in Litchfield Park, Arizona.
This entire weekend is designed for the novice roper, starting with an All Girl roping Saturday morning that’s capped at a #4. After that, we’re having a #6, and then our patented “Match of Champions.”
Here’s the deal on the Match of Champions: the top 115 headers and top 155 heelers from the No Wolves Allowed Tour rope for $8,000 in cash and prizes – with no entry fees. You rope for free! It’s a Pick 1/Draw 1 or Draw 2 for a total of two runs. Check your spot in the standings by clicking the “view champion’s tour standings”.
Then, on Sunday, we’re awarding 20 saddles in the #8 Roping Finals! It’s a Pick 1/Draw 2 or Draw all 3 for $150 and you can enter up to 4 times. We’ll use two arenas and books will close at 10 am. What’s even better is that all cash and prizes are guaranteed regardless of the number of teams!
Remember, you don’t have to qualify to rope in any of the ropings except the Match of Champions.

SCS World Finals Paid more than 150K!

SCS World Finals coming to Dunn’s Arena
$30,000 Guaranteed Added on Feb. 26-28!
February 12, 2010 – When was the last time you roped for a guaranteed $30,000 added money on good cattle at a great facility?
On Feb. 26-28 at the Southern Championship Series World Finals in Dunn’s Arena, a whopping $10,000 is up for grabs on each of three days, no matter how many teams are there. Not only, can anyone enter the World Finals (no qualification necessary), but you don’t even need a partner. There’s an option to draw in every roping except the Open and #15.
Last year, this roping drew more than 1,700 teams and paid out $200,000 in cash and prizes.
Here’s how it works – if you finish in the top 10 percent of any of the 10 preliminary ropings, you advance to a $10,000-added Shoot-Out at the end of that day. The #11 and #10 ropings now have #6 caps, and there are other incentives and handicaps you can check out online.
Basically, the schedule on Friday begins with the $2,000-added Open, followed by the #15, #13, #12 and Pro-Am Shoot-Out. On Saturday is the #11, #10, #10 Over-40 and Amateur (#11) Shoot-Out. And Sunday kicks off with the #10 All-Girl, then the #9, #8 Pick & Draw, and Novice Shoot-Out.
Entries close at 9:30 a.m. each day. For more information, visit www.championshipteamroping.com or call Yost Events at 208-863-4310.

Free Truck Roping = Lots of Teams
Wow, we had an amazing turnout at the truck roping last Saturday. With almost 1,400 teams, the roping lasted until 4:30 a.m. It’s not often that a roping offers $27,000 and a new truck – for only $60 entry fees! I was glad we could pull it off.
The roping also offered free entries as a package deal, and free teams were out in droves. With all the draw specials, extra heeler runs and every roper’s free entries, we had 362 free teams! I’m pretty excited that I could give away these kinds of cash and prizes when almost a quarter of the teams didn’t even have to pay. And then, how cool would it have been if the truck or the roping would have been won on a free run? Maybe next time!
Congratulations to the truck winner, 14-year-old Carl Sweazea. The young man from New Mexico dominated the competition with 42 total points in the average. Second place for the truck had only 27 points, so way to go, Carl. If you need someone to drive the truck until you get your license, let me know!

No Wolves Allowed Finale
I’ve changed the format somewhat regarding the No Wolves Allowed Champions tour points. My original intent was to have a “Match of Champions” roping for the top 100 headers and top 100 heelers from the tour and they’d rope for $100 per team.
Well, forget all that. I’ve decided instead to keep the “Match of Champions” roping (still let the top 100 headers and top 100 heelers from the tour rope), but now there’s no entry fee – and I’m still paying out almost $8,000 in cash and prizes in that roping. Check your standings – it’s a pretty cool deal. The final tour stop will be next weekend, February 13 at Dunn’s Arena.
